150 ft. up in redwoods
"there's a drop of water on the wall
and the drops about to fall
falls into a trickle
trickles running down
down, down to the ground
where the moss begins to grow
watch, watch that water flow
into a current
becomes a stream
busting through the seams
tearing through the concrete
bending down the steel
with a raging that is real
tearing torrents you can feel
feel the thunder under ground
and in our hearts
the chains falling apart
the wildness in our souls
and for once in life
and for once in life we know were not alone
the mountains in our bones
the oceans in our blood
with our feet planted firmly in the mud
we are alive
burning embers in our eyes
tingling touch upon our skin
and in the heat of passion we begin
to understand
we are of this land
we are part of her
and when she's threatened
we will fight for all were worth
and then the dams
the dams come crashing down
water flowing to the sea
now the river
the river is free. . . . . ."
